How do you read comics books?
This is kind of a weird question. Do you look at the art first and then read the text? Or do you read the text before looking at the art?
I've been reading comics for over 30 years and this is something I've always wondered. I always look at the art first and then read the text. If I'm really pulled into a story though, I'll sometimes catch myself just jumping from text block to text block. But that usually only lasts 1 or 2 panels before I revert back to my usual pattern.
I always assumed everyone read comics the same way I did. Do some of you read the text and then look at the artwork in each panel? Do all of you? Am I the weird one?
