The 1995 film "Se7en" isn't as great as everyone says it is.
People act like it's one of the best crime films ever made, but to be honest, I've always thought it was average.
It feels like a highly dumbed down version of "The Dark Knight," with Somerset being similar to Batman, Milles being similar to Harvey Dent, and John Doe being similar to the Joker.
"Se7en" feels impressive upon first watch due to its disturbing scenes and its main plot twist, but to me, it's all somewhat hollow.
People act like the main twist is incredible, but it feels very M. Night Shyamalan-ey.
"Oh my god, the box contains his wife's head! The killer killed his wife!" Meh, in my opinion. #conversation source
