Advice for fixing up an old painted interior chimney
Hey all, so our new house has an old chimney in the kitchen - it houses a furnace pipe coming up from our basement. I'd like to patch it up and repaint it, as it's crumbling and looks crappy and has lots of holes and mortar missing. I'm wondering if there is a world in which I don't have to strip the old paint in order to patch it up. It's so crumbly and right next to our stove and I just feel like that will take forever and maybe not be worth it. I'd like to know what my patching and repainting options might be from experienced people. Thanks so much!
