Storm damage roof insurance claim came back low, anyone dealt with this locally
East Dallas, after the hailstorm. I filed a roof damage insurance claim, but the settlement came back noticeably lower than what two roofers say the actual repair scope should be. It looks like they skipped an entire roof slope and some flashing.
Has anyone local managed to get an insurance estimate corrected in a situation like this, or is the initial offer usually final? Just trying to figure out whether it's worth pushing back.

Hybrid Resilient Floor in front of pellet stove
I am planning on installing hybrid resilient flooring in a large living space that has a pellet stove on a 6” brick hearth. The stove manual says that any LVP flooring must have 29” of alternative flooring before the LVP. I was planning on laying tile down kinda as an extension of the hearth on floor level. My wife wants to get a fireproof mat to lay in front instead. I insist that it will not work and we need some kind of tile or similar alternative. Am I correct in saying that? She does not want to put any kind of buffer that will breakup the LVP so are there any other options?
