90s/00s two-player game with a long futuristic tunnel you fired balls down — any ideas?
Trying to identify a two-player game from my childhood — long futuristic tunnel you fired balls down
This has been bugging me for a while and I've got nowhere on my own, so throwing it to people who know their vintage toys.
UK, played it with my brother sometime in the late 90s or early 2000s (more confident it was in the 2000s)
The detail I'm most sure of is a long tunnel or tube — horizontal, not vertical — and it looked a little futuristic. That styling is genuinely the reason it stuck in my head. It was a plastic game rather than a traditional board game, and balls or marbles got fired down the tunnel. Two players, I think head to head, and it felt fast.
Less certain: whether the tube was enclosed or open-topped, whether we alternated turns or both played at once, and whether water featured at any point.
Things I've already looked at and ruled out: Crossfire, Gnip Gnop, Hydro Strike, KerPlunk, Screwball Scramble, Fireball Island, tabletop bagatelle, and the Nerf ball blasters (Ballzooka / Master Blaster).
If it helps, it may well have been a UK or European release rather than US. Any suggestions welcome, however obscure.
