California road trip!
Hi everyone! I’m a Canadian and I’ve never driven outside of Canada. I’m not a nervous driver, but I’ve heard the speeds are faster in the U.S., and truckers can be scary. I’ll have three small kids and my ex-husband (who isn’t super helpful). Haha
We’re driving in mid-to-late May, all the way down to California for a cruise, and then a few days in California after. We’ll be driving through Montana, Utah, and Vegas, both ways. I actually prefer night driving so the kids can sleep.
We’d like to spend a day in Salt Lake City on the way, maybe stay the night, then down to Vegas, and finally to California.
Last summer, we did 12-14 hour days on trips across Canada, so I know my kids handle it well. I’d love any advice or reassurance!
