🇧🇷 A new BTG Pactual/Nexus poll puts Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva at 46% and Senator Flávio Bolsonaro at 45% in a hypothetical presidential runoff, a one-point difference within the survey’s two-point margin of error.
The poll surveyed 2,006 people from 18 to 20 September. In its first-round scenario, Lula had 40% and Bolsonaro 37%.
📰 Brazil’s first round is scheduled for 4 October. Voters will choose the president and vice-president as well as governors, senators and legislative representatives nationwide.
If no presidential candidate wins more than half of valid votes in the first round, the top two candidates will face a runoff on 25 October. 🗳️
