I couldn’t find a notebook that felt right, so I made my own leather cover from scratch.
During a calligraphy course, we had an assignment to use unusual tools. So I started experimenting with the phrase “Art attack in progress” using random things — a wood stick, a glue gun, a burning tool… even a syringe. The syringe gave me these really raw, textured lines that I loved.
I thought the design would be too detailed for leather, but I tried it anyway. And ended up loving the test results, so I transferred the final design straight onto the cover.
