"outdoor" wood storage
I'm in the process of renovating my garage. It's not a woodworking shop, though I do some minor work in there and plan to do more. That said, I don't have storage for all the "scraps" (where "scraps" in this case can include large sheets of plywood/etc) in the new setup. I was considering the idea of building a really narrow shed against my fence outside to store it in, but am not sure how all this will handle the elements. Any insights here? Should I fully seal it off? Should I just aim to keep the rain out, but otherwise not worry about fully sealing the walls? Should I lay concrete for the floor, and elevate everything off the concrete?
For some added context, I'm in Los Angeles; we don't get much extreme weather here.
I'd rather not waste all this wood, but also can't keep it where it is, and woudl rather not pay for storage. Would love any input folks may have.

Has anyone actually installed their own mini split?
I've been watching a bunch of mini split installation videos and it looks more doable than I expected. I know professional installation is safer, but the labor cost is making me consider DIY-friendly options. For those who installed their own: Was it worth doing yourself?

Cutting Dovetails
For those who cut dovetails regularly, do you prefer Japanese pull saws or Western push saws, and why? I only own pull saws, and I wonder if that’s part of the struggle or if I just need more practice. I’m seriously considering the Rob Cosman Dovetail Saw, but I’m wondering if this will just make it more expensive to suck at something.

Best hole saw for 3/4" birch plywood?
I need to drill about fifty 2"ø holes in 3/4" birch plywood. This will be a finished product, so keeping the rough holes as clean as possible is a priority. Planning to drill a pilot hole, tape the cut, and then drill halfway through from each side.
Read some forum posts and watched the ProjectFarm test video. It seems like the Milwaukee Hole Dozer is a strong contender. My local shop has both bi-metal and carbide tooth options. The carbide is 3 TPI, the bi-metal is a little higher at 3.5TPI.
Thoughts on which one would be best here?
I'm also open to any other product suggestions or tips on getting the best results!

Adding vapor barrier to just one room in a house?
We’re renovating a kitchen in a 1940s house on Vancouver Island. I removed the old drywall and added fibreglass insulation. Should I be adding vapor barrier - and will it be an issue if I only have vapor barrier in the one room? If I do add vapor barrier, should I be sealing the room off from the adjacent rooms?
