Edmond Harjo, US Army Seminole Code Talker who served at Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge . Many don't realize that the Navajos were not the only tribe to provide code talkers to the U.S. military during World War II .
In addition to Seminoles, Comanche code talkers were also sent by the US Army to Europe, while the Navajos were joined in the Pacific by Lakota, Mohawks and Meswakis. America was also not the only country to use Native tribe code talkers, Canada's armed forces utilized a force of Crees.
