Tom and Jerry still works because the chase never needs a translation. The timing is the whole joke. I go back to classic Looney Tunes for the same reason, sound off and you can still hear the beats.
Loving every single one is a bold kind of loyalty, and I get it. The quiet setup before the chaos is what still gets me, that peaceful room you already know will not stay peaceful.
