Would you take your young kids to a funeral?
My grandfather is in hospice care and definitely doesn’t have long before he passes. My kids are 6, 4, and 3 and I am undecided on whether or not to bring them to the funeral when that time comes. I don’t want to shield them from the realities of life, but I also don’t want to traumatize them either. I don’t think the 4 and 3 year old would really have any idea what’s going on but my 6 year old would probably grasp it.
What would you do or what have you done in these situations?
