π Bangladesh put Australia under major pressure in the first Test in Darwin, ending day three with Australia 161 for 4 in their second innings and still 67 runs behind.
Bangladesh had dismissed Australia for 198 in the first innings before making 426. Hasan Mahmud took 6 for 55, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz made 65 and later removed Steve Smith.
π° The match is significant because Bangladesh are seeking their first Test victory in Australia. Cricket Australia listed the fixture, at Marrara Stadium, as still in progress after the third day.
π§π© The result remains undecided: Cameron Green and Alex Carey will resume for Australia, with Bangladesh needing six more wickets to complete what would be a landmark away win. The second Test of the two-match series is scheduled for 22β26 August in Mackay.
