Feedback requested: hiking in the Picos de Europa
Hi, I am planning a hike in the Picos de Europa (in Spain) with a group of friends. None of us has been to the Picos, so I’m hoping to get some feedback on the plan from people who know this area well. Some background: we’re all in good hiking shape and plan to stay in hotels and refugios. We’re not planning on carrying a harness/carabiner.
\* Day 1 (7 hrs): Poncebos to Refugio Vega de Urriellu
\* Day 2 (7 hrs): Refugio Vega de Urriellu to Cordiñanes de Valdeón (hotel)
\* Day 3 (2 hrs): Cordiñanes de Valdeón to Caín (hotel)
\* Day 4 (8 hrs): Caín to Refugio de Vegarredonda
\* Day 5 (3 hrs): Refugio de Vegarredonda to Refugio Vega de Enol
\* Day 6 (5 hrs): Refugio Vega de Enol to Benia de Onis
Does this look like a reasonable itinerary? Any tips? Anything we should be particularly aware of? Anything we should absolutely not miss?
