Chicago has a better cityscape than New York City
I love both cities and have lived in both.
New York has a great skyline with world class architecture, no doubt. But when it comes to quality vs quantity of the cityscape, Chicago beats it.
New York’s skyline and cityscape is a jumbled mess and suffocating whereas Chicago’s is delicately planned around a large park and lakefront, which provides plenty of outdoor space away from the “concrete jungle”. Additionally, the buildings complement each other more and Chicago’s grid system eases navigation too.
I know many will disagree, but I can’t be convinced otherwise.
