Hello. I’ll be visiting the Anne Frank House soon and have a question. I know that food and drinks are not allowed inside, and that there is a café or similar establishment on the premises. Since I’ll be spending a full day in Amsterdam, I’m thinking of bringing some sandwiches in my bag to eat for lunch after I leave the museum. I’ve also read that there is a security check upon entry. Could anyone who has visited tell me what the security check is like? Is it a scanner, or is it a manual check where you have to show the contents of your bag? Has anyone had any experience bringing food along—just to eat later outside the museum—and did the staff say anything or force you to throw it away? Thank you very much for your help. #travel source
