My mother departed from this world on 22 April 1992, yet her love, sacrifices, and memories continue to illuminate every chapter of my life. Each year, on the day of her remembrance, I honor her soul through acts of kindness and charity. I prepare food with my own hands and distribute it among the needy families of our community, believing that every shared meal carries a prayer for her eternal peace. I also purchase new clothes for a deserving woman among my relatives, hoping to spread the warmth and compassion that my mother always carried within her heart.
Along with these humble deeds, I recite the Holy Quran and dedicate its spiritual reward to her soul. Though years have passed, the emptiness left by a mother can never truly be filled. Her prayers, affection, and gentle presence remain deeply engraved in my heart. Remembering her is not merely a tradition for me; it is a sacred bond of love that time can never erase.
Poem for My Mother, Mother, though the years have gone, Your love within my heart lives on. In every prayer and silent tear, I still can feel your presence near. I miss your voice, your caring eyes, Your gentle words, your lullabies.
The world may change, the seasons too, But nothing fades my love for you. Each act of kindness that I do, Is a small reflection born from you. And when I raise my hands to pray, I whisper, “Mother, I miss you every day.” May heaven hold you in its light, In endless peace, forever bright. Until we meet beyond the skies, Your memory in my soul shall rise.
