one small change made my room feel twice as big without moving anything
my room is pretty small so i’ve always been trying to make it feel a bit more open
for the longest time i kept rearranging furniture thinking that was the problem. desk here, bed there, trying different layouts over and over
but no matter what i did, the room still felt kinda tight
what i didn’t realize was there was this one bulky thing sitting on the floor near the window that basically broke up the space visually and physically
it made that whole corner feel blocked, and i was always subconsciously working around it
recently switched to something wall mounted instead, went with a costway unit after looking around a bit
didn’t move anything else, but the difference was immediate
that whole section of the floor opened up and suddenly the room just felt easier to exist in. like walking around didn’t feel cramped anymore, and visually it just looked cleaner without that heavy object sitting there
kind of made me realize it’s not always about layout, sometimes it’s just removing what’s interrupting the space #art source
