What UX case studies made you think, "This is excellent"?
I'm currently rebuilding my UX portfolio while actively looking for my next role, and I want to improve the quality of my case studies.
I'm not looking for inspiration in terms of visuals—I want examples of case studies that genuinely tell a strong story. Things like:
How the problem is framed
Research process
Design decisions and trade-offs
Iterations
Constraints
Impact/business outcomes
Most portfolios I come across either feel too polished or skip the thinking behind the work.
If you've come across any UX portfolios, Medium articles, Notion pages, or case studies that made you think, "This is how a UX case study should be written," I'd love your recommendations.
Also, what do you think separates an average case study from one that gets interviews?
Thanks in advance!
