Largest Solar flare In over 6 years & the third large X class flare in 48 hours!
Sunspot AR 3590 produced three X class solar flares over the past 48 hours, including this X6.3 class solar flare. This is the largest solar flare in solar cycle 25 and since September 2017! As a result of the X 6.3 flare, a R3 radio blackout was observed over the Pacific Ocean and while coronal dimming is evident, no coronal mass ejection has been detected. Affects from the flare also include the degradation of Radio signals used by GPS and satellite - indicating broader implications.
