Is this blade toast?
This is a Diablo/Freud 10" thin-kerf combination blade that I've been using for several years. I gave it a rinse in simple green and a brush to clean the gunk off the teeth, and noticed the red coating was coming off. Looks like it stopped adhering to the plate of the blade. I anticipate it will strip completely if I use it further.
My understanding is that the coating helps keep the blade spinning smoothly and from getting bogged down. Time for a new blade?
