M51 Whirlpool Galaxy

Hi everyone! I wanted to push my Seestar S50 to its limits by trying something a bit experimental: using a dual-band OIII/H-Alpha filter (463LP\_2416IRCUT) on a galactic target.

To overcome the field rotation of the alt-azimuth mount, I integrated data across multiple nights. The H-alpha channel really helped pop the ionized hydrogen regions and star-forming factories within M51's spiral arms.

Technical details:

* **Scope:** Seestar S50 (Alt-Az mode)
* **Location:** Calabria, Italy (Bortle 4 skies)
* **Filter:** Dual-band OIII/H-Alpha
* **Exposure:** 10s sub-frames (multi-night stack)
* **Processing:** Siril (stacking & stretching) + Photoshop (final touch-ups)

I'm pretty happy with how clean the signal turned out from a Bortle 4 zone. C&C on my Siril & Photoshop workflow are highly appreciated! How do you usually handle dual-band data on galaxies? 🌌👇
