Do I need to build a new ladder?
So I built these shelves and rolling ladder, but since my house is old, the floor isn’t level. The wheels I had planned for get stuck at some points and don’t touch the floor at others. Since the top mechanism allows for rolling (just a barn door hardware) I decided to use it without the wheels. Problem is that now it’s too short without the wheels and the ladder is almost parallel to the shelves instead of the 15 degree angle I had originally planned for if it rests on the floor. My question is do I need to build a new ladder longer ladder or can I extend it somehow that doesn’t make it look weird? I’d like to hear what solutions you may have- thank you in advance!
