My Petty Revenge Story
This is a story from my childhood, during the month of Ramadan.
One day, my whole family was sitting together at the table for iftar. My brother started banging his spoon on his plate two or three times, making a lot of noise. My father looked at him angrily, and to save himself, my brother quickly blamed me and said I was the one doing it. By coincidence, we were sitting right next to each other.
The problem was that at that age I was very mischievous, so my father believed him. I got scolded and ended up crying through iftar while my brother sat there quietly. That was the moment I decided⦠I will take revenge.
The next day, at prayer time, my brother stayed at home and did not go to the mosque. When my father came back from the office, I casually complained and told him that my brother hadnβt gone for prayers. My father scolded my brother, and I felt so satisfied. My petty revenge was complete π
Now when we think about it as adults, it makes us laugh. But the funny part is that today I am completely the opposite. I love my brother so much that I cannot even tolerate anyone saying a single bad word about him. Forget hurting him β I canβt even stand seeing him upset.
Still, that little childhood revenge will always be one of my funniest memories. π
