Unreasonable expectation?
I had my siding replaced last summer, and then this spring I got birds nesting inside one of my bathroom vents. Come to find out my contractor didn’t install any steel mesh inside the vents to keep critters out. Am I unreasonable to have expected they install mesh?
Additionally, while in the attic just now, I discovered they sealed over my other bathroom vent and then cut an entirely new hole to install a vent but never connected the duct on the inside. I’m guessing they realized they sealed over my other vent and just cut a new one so there would still be 2 vents on the outside. Now, because of the extra vent the just slapped onto the house, it’s open straight into my attic and there’s bird nesting material inside my attic in addition to inside my ducts.
Given how botched this all seems, am I reasonable to expect them to remedy the vent situation and then cover the costs to have the attic cleaned and sanitized?
