Two years ago, I failed to admit on the second to the biggest state university here in the Philippines. Instead of seeing approved on their portal, all I see is rejection . During that time, I felt so useless and I don't know what would I do. It is not a problem if I don't get to secure a slot since there are a lot of aspiring college students. Yet, my primary concern before was money and I can solve it if I can study for free.
During midnights, Sad and Anxiety emotions control my system. I can still vividly remember that I was crying while writing an article on my laptop. It was also the moment when I found out that the entrance exam was already over at another state university. This means that I couldn't manage to enter college because we're not financially capable. Fortunately, God still pushes me to be a university student even in private because of my uncle.
It is a bittersweet ending that I chose to stop my dream of being a CPA. My parents and uncle supported me in continuing my plans even though I was in private. Aside from that, my classmates stated that there's a chance that I can be a BSA survivor . Yet, I decided to be more practical and weigh my decision carefully. I ended up choosing the Marketing program and I don't have any regrets.
Now that I am currently walking on the rainbow , I've realized that there are a lot of ways to be grateful . His plans are more beautiful than what I expected. Rejection is a redirection to your destination . We might not achieve our dreams as a kid. Yet, someone is adding a color to add flavor to our vision.
P. S. I would just like to add a plot twist. I will never be bored to tell it with you always until the future.
Nine months ago, I attended a regional marketing quiz bee competition at the university that rejected me. The 52 participants are from eight different universities here in Nueva Ecija. Guess who won? Me😂! That is my BIGGEST flex.
P. P. S. The only basis when I enrolled was grades and the backer system. That's why I failed. This is my entry for #earn challenge by
