US Open R1: Vacherot def. Kovacevic, 6-2 6-3 7-5
Tighter 3rd set scoreline but Vacherot was never in any real danger throughout the match - his serve was too much for Aleks’ subpar return, and Valentin didn’t face a single break point the entire match.
Vacherot will play Kamil Majchrzak for a chance to reach R3 and equal his best result at a Slam (AO this year)!
Kova is not signed up for any other events through the end of September.
