Fiberglass batting in slider
Opinions needed….just bought a house and some real idiot thought it would be a great idea to shove fiberglass bat insulation in the slider door track to “insulate it”. 😒 I plastic sheeted the slider and pulled all the insulation out from the outside of the house so no issues with it blowing back inside. I cleaned out the tracks and every where I could reach with a HEPA vac and washing everything down as well. I‘m wondering if that’s enough or I’m going to have left over shards raining down everytime the wind blows and the door it open. it’s in my living room and I have a young kiddo so trying to mitigate risk without going crazy. Not a ton Two thumb sized pieces were in the bottom and top of the track when closed and two baseball sized pieces in the upper track when the door was opened.
