Confusion between Sahih, Hasan and Daif hadiths.

Assalamu Alaikum. I have a sincere question because I want to follow Islam correctly and avoid mistakes.

I'm confused about the difference between ṣaḥīḥ, ḥasan, and ḍaʿīf hadith.

1. If a hadith's chain (isnād) is graded ḥasan, but scholars conclude that the hadith as a whole is ṣaḥīḥ, should it be treated as authentic like any other ṣaḥīḥ hadith?

2. In general, should ḥasan hadith be accepted and acted upon in matters of worship and fiqh? Are they considered reliable evidence?

Suppose there is a hadith describing a specific step in salah that is not found in Sahih al-Bukhari or Sahih Muslim, but it is graded ḥasan and indicates that the step is obligatory (or required). Should Muslims perform that action based on the ḥasan hadith?

3. What is the ruling on ḍa'if hadith? Should they ever be acted upon? If so, in what situations, and are there differences of opinion among the scholars?

I'm looking for answers based on the methodology of recognized hadith scholars and the Qur'an and Sunnah, with references if possible. Jazakum Allahu khayran.
