⚠️ Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon killed at least nine people on Saturday, Lebanon’s Health Ministry and state news agency said. Seven people, including three children, were reported killed in Ansar, while two were killed in Deir al-Zahrani.
The strikes were among the deadliest since a truce between Israel and Hezbollah took effect in June. The Israeli military said it targeted Hezbollah infrastructure in the Ansar and Ali Taher areas after action against Israeli soldiers.
Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said the strikes undermined efforts to stabilize the south. The Guardian reported that people left areas around Nabatieh after the attacks, while rescue teams searched damaged sites.
