Hi, I have flights booked into sfo in August and 13 days later we fly out of La. I have two routes planned and route 1 is my favourite as Yosemite and Grand Canyon are on my bucket lists.
Google maps estimate some of the driving at 5 hours. I have planned 5-6 hours. Is that doable or still unrealistic? Has anyone done route one.
My husband wants driving, greenery. My daughter wants cities and shopping. I want Yosemite and Grand Canyon.
Route 1
2 nights San Francisco
1 night oakhurst, drive through Yosemite exit tioga pass
1 night mammoth lakes
3 nights las vegas
1 night Grand Canyon visit sunset and 4 hours in morning
1 night Barstow
3 nights Los Angeles
Route 2
2 nights San Francisco
2 nights oakhurst visit Yosemite
1 night three rivers
1 night Monterey
1 night morro bay/pismo beach
2 nights Santa Barbara
3 nights Los Angeles
