am i embarrassing for living at home at 26?
hi, i just turned 26 and i still live with my parents. i have a boyfriend (27) of 7 years who also still lives with his parents. we both have fulltime jobs, but life is still so expensive. i work 30 hours a week at $16.70 an hour. i usually only see him on the weekends when we’re both off. neither of our parents mind we live with them, his parents mention moving out more than mine do though. i help my parents whenever they need or ask, they don’t ask for rent but i give $ if they ever need. but i just got my first car about a year ago, so im paying that, insurance, phone bill, and a hospital bill that wont be paid off until im 29. i dont mind living at home, i love my parents and brother. and i hate the idea of being alone. but idk what the “norm” is anymore, some people tell me stay as long as i can and others are confused as to why im still at home. i guess im asking… is this still embarrassing? i know 26 isn’t considered “that young” anymore, but i just dont FEEL 26 either. i’m still figuring life out.
