Do you guys give everyone you meet while backpacking your real number?
Planning my first longer backpacking trip and I've noticed how much stuff seems to move to WhatsApp once you're actually traveling. Hostel groups, people you meet on tours, drivers, other backpackers making plans, etc. I'm probably overthinking it but the idea of giving my personal number to dozens of random people over a few months feels a little weird, especially when I'll probably never see most of them again. For people who backpack regularly, what do you normally do? Just use your regular WhatsApp and clean everything up afterward or keep travel contacts separate somehow?
