Hi everyone! I'm currently in community college and plan to transfer in Fall 2027. I'm taking a summer class right now, and I sit next to two girls who have been friends for a long time and have taken several classes together. I've had classes with both of them before (just not together), so I already know what they're like. One of my friends was lab partners with one of them, and it was a terrible experience. They act like they know everything and don't listen to anyone else's ideas. If someone suggests something different, they usually ignore it. They also get really aggressive when things don't go their way. My friend even got yelled at during lab.
I've ended up in groups with both of them in this class, and I honestly don't learn much because they take over everything and don't let anyone else participate. Normally, I'd just switch groups or move seats, but this is a small and short summer class, we're basically stuck.
I'm not really sure what to do. I can learn the material on my own, but group work with them is so frustrating. Has anyone dealt with people like this before? Any advice? #relationships source
