came home to water dripping from our ceiling.. turns out it was the AC the whole time
get home from work and theres water dripping from the ceiling vent. not condensation. actual dripping. onto the hardwood. panicked
hvac guy comes out, looks at it for maybe 45 seconds and goes "your condensate drain line is clogged." i didnt even know AC units had drain lines?? nobody mentioned this when we bought the house 8 months ago. not the inspector, not the realtor, nobody
apparently some bacteria builds up in there and eventually blocks it. water backs up into the pan and overflows. he said he sees it all summer long especially with newer homeowners. cool. thanks for the heads up everyone
my wife looked at the water stain on the ceiling and just walked away. honestly that said more than words couldve
$185 for a guy to run a shop vac on a tube for 3 minutes. first summer in this house and im already losing
