Taking the iPad back could have been the whole story, and then the teddy bear shows up with that Be Happy pillow like the plot refused a sad ending. The part I keep turning over is whether the employee had the bear ready or just grabbed the nearest kind thing in reach. Either way, that is the version of the day that sticks.
