I am looking at investing in a pack for both wilderness and travel purposes. I have tried on a few packs and the Osprey Atmos range was by far the most comfortable of the lot, which is a big thing for me. i am reasonably new to all of this and so far have been working with my dad's old hand me down gear. I'm not particularly looking on advice on whether the atmos is the right choice for me, but more on size. I see varying figures on how much litreage is needed, but for someone who will be travelling and staying in hostels, and also wilderness backpacking (potentially on the same trip), would 50L be enough? I don't have much specialist gear that packs down super small (although I will of course invest in a better tent etc), and to be honest I think I would rather pack a bit more on the comfortable side. For example bringing a packable chair, extra food etc. I think 50L might just be enough and stop me from overpacking too much, but i am also conscious that a 65L pack would allow me the option of packing more should I need it. Any advice welcome, thank you! #nature #activity source
