What is so great about Tornado Alley that offsets the murder weather? Honest question from a Canadian
I live just north of the north shore of Lake Huron. The weather around here is almost universally placid. When it's warm we generally get gentle rain showers and the occasional thunderstorm. Stronger thunderstorms rarely provide even a decent show. We've had 2 tornadoes in the last 80yrs allegedly. Nobody has actually seen one. Flooding? A football field sized area had a foot or two back in the 1980s and that was because the storm drains were covered over with snow.
So what's going on down there that makes it worth having mother nature try to murder you with alarming regularity? Hail the size of a golf ball? No thank you. I don't need murder ice. House destroying winds? No thank you I don't even want the kind that leave branches in my yard I'm busy enough and I don't need nature providing my grandma easy to reach switches! Storms that rotate? How you getting the weather the so drunk that it gets dizzy and then vomits cyclones on you? What are you crazy bastards up to down there? #science source
