Why does the blood from a cut not change color from the air?
I heard that arterial blood is bright red from the oxygen it just picked up from the lungs, and venous blood is darker and almost bluish because of less oxygen in the hemoglobin. But does the blood from a cut absorb oxygen from the air? And if it does why doesnt it change color at all, or is it just subtle
