When is it time to accept that you’ll be single forever?

I don’t think there’s anything inherently bad with being single. I know that in life people just never find a partner. I’m in my mid thirties and wondering when is it time to accept that maybe having a life partner just isn’t for me?

I’ve always wanted to be married or have a partner by my side for the rest of my life. But now that I’m getting older, it just doesn’t seem like it’s likely going to happen.

I’ve dated a lot through out my life. Have had a handful of relationships. Never been married. Never been engaged. Never had a relationship last longer than 3 years. I’m a good looking guy and have a lot of good qualities, but also not so great qualities. People have always told me I will never have a hard time finding someone. But the truth is, I’ve had a very hard time. And I don’t want to be a victim and say it’s because I have childhood trauma. I’ve always worked on myself and try to be the best version of myself. But it just seems like there’s always something that goes wrong and nothing is ever just right.

I just feel like maybe this isn’t a dream that is feasible for me. Maybe it’s just not meant for me. When do I accept that and let it go? To stop trying and just become content with not having a life partner instead of getting hurt again and again?
