Hey folks. Here's a picture of a corner of my garage that houses an electric heat pump water heater and some drainage piping: https://imgur.com/a/ONhDQ2G
I'm weak in inventive DIY and I'm hoping to get some ideas on an enclosure I can build around this area that would serve both aesthetic and functional purposes. I drew some vague boxes to give an idea of what I'm considering.
My thoughts are:
1. One or more panels can be easily removed in case the water heater needs servicing or replacement (however unlikely given its newness), ideally not requiring removing and redriving bolts into studs - maybe some kind of latch setup. 1. The heater will ideally be almost entirely enclosed, except for some consideration for ventilation up top. This is for noise reduction, I might go as far as to line the inside with some sound deadening material. 1. The bottom section on the right side covering the drainage can be a sacrificial space, but ideally I can somehow utilize the upper portion, either by leaving it entirely open, or having open shelving or a "cabinet". 1. Accommodate any safety requirements (after I get great ideas)
