Bears in Dolomites/Brenta?
I will be hiking in summer around Cima Brenta (from Molveno to Maddona di Campiglio) and around Piazzola further north. I just learned about the runner being killed by a bear some years ago in between these places. Is it something to consider or are bear encounters rare there? Any spots to avoid? Im coming from a country where bears kill MULTIPLE hikers in a year and having some unpleasant encounters myself - that's why I'm so cautious. SIDE NOTE- any reliable ibex sighting spots nearby? And Is it possible to stay night at Malga Vallesinella di Sopra? Thanks for any replys.
