Advice Needed: Using AI for small talk prompts and practice.

**TL;DR: using AI to generate a small talk scenario. Using it to help identify emotions, strategies, methods and improvements. Is this helpful or harmful?**

Hello everyone,

Two days ago I asked AI to generate a small talk scenario and to have it ask me what emotion it conveyed and to read/judge if my response was “*correct.”*

*For example:*
*Prompt: Generate some practice social scenarios for small talk and ask me to identify the emotion and judge my response.*

*Scenario: The Office Kitchen*
*You are making coffee. A coworker walks in, sighs heavily, and says: “I cannot believe it is only Tuesday. This week is moving like molasses.”*

*My answer: The emotion is frustration. I can respond with “It’s only Tuesday!? This week is going to be torture.”*

*And then it’ll answer with like: you could’ve also recognized the emotion as exhaustion.*

*Also, your response isn’t open ended so they have nothing to respond to.*

I don’t continue the conversation. I just look at the other possible emotion, the method I used to respond (validation), and how I could use an open ended response.

It also frames the conversation in a way that is easy to follow. Like, listen, validate, respond (pass the ball, interviewer, spotlight, etc.)
