Django Unchained is shockingly uncontroversial
Basically all tarantino did was show an accurate portrayal of the American slave trade. They were tortured, they were raped, and they called the n word. That’s just history. It’s perfectly fine if you can’t handle that in a film, but to insult the film for it is utterly stupid.
I can only think of a single controversial aspect of the film, which is the point of view it is ok to kill anyone even remotely involved in the slave trade. Though that’s still a fairly luke warm take that most people, including me, will agree with. I really was expecting something more substantive from the reaction to the film.
