Bank apps shouldn’t require internet connection to work.
Bank apps should be able to function without one having data because emergencies happen everywhere all the time and having to think about data while trying to get access to your funds is such a bummer. They should maybe create a feature that allows sending and receiving normal transactions without data and reserve using data for more complex transactions like taking loans. I am saying this because where I live internet lags a lot and when that happens you can’t do anything until it stabilizes by itself so that inconvenience is absolutely infuriating if you don’t have any other way out.
But since I am not in IT I have no idea how that could be possible or the implementation. And before anyone says use the USSD feature I am specifically talking about banking apps because they are much more easier to use and they show more features clearly upon launch furthermore, bank apps don’t require one to memorize the USSD code and sometimes even the account password if one decides to use biometrics.
UPDATE: I am not asking for banking apps to work without network completely what I am suggesting is a feature that allows them to work even when the network is unstable or lagging by using the minimal connection available. If the same bank can work using USSD and the information can be stored I believe something can also be worked out on the app. Please guess spare me the roasting I am burnt already. #conversation
