This morning I imagined a funny conversation between a taxi driver, his passengers, and his car.
Taxi Driver: Good morning, Sunshine! Ready for another busy Friday?
Car: Ready? I’ve been awake all night thinking about those potholes you drove me through yesterday. My suspension is still in therapy.
Taxi Driver: Come on, don’t be dramatic. You’re a strong car.
Car: Strong? You made me climb that hill with four passengers, two suitcases, and one man who insisted on bringing a sack of mangoes! I’m a taxi, not a truck!
(First passenger enters)
Passenger: Good morning, driver. Can you take me to work quickly? I’m late!
Car (whispering): Oh great, another one in a hurry. Watch him ask you to “drive faster but safely.” Humans love that sentence.
Taxi Driver: Don’t worry, we’ll get you there.
Passenger: Please hurry!
Car: See? I told you! Faster but safely, I’m a car, not a magician!
(Second passenger enters)
Passenger 2: Good morning! Nice car!
Car: Finally! Someone appreciates me. This one can stay.
Taxi Driver: Thank you! She’s been with me for years.
Car: Of course I have. After everything we’ve been through together, we’re basically family.
(Traffic suddenly appears)
Taxi Driver: Oh no, traffic on a Friday morning.
Car: Relax, boss. This is my moment to shine. Watch how smoothly I crawl forward, one meter at a time.
Passenger 1: Are we moving or growing roots here?
Car: If we grow roots, at least we’ll avoid potholes.
(Everyone laughs)
Taxi Driver: Don’t worry, my friends. It’s Friday. Soon the weekend will arrive.
Car: Yes! And maybe, just maybe, you’ll let me rest.
Taxi Driver: Rest? No chance. Saturday we work double.
Car: I knew I should have applied to be a garage decoration instead.
Anyway, my friends, may your Friday be smoother than this taxi ride, your coffee be strong, and your problems lighter than a passenger carrying mangoes. 😄

P. S.: As for me, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to post again today, maybe later this evening. I’ll be busy getting everything ready for my brother’s 60th birthday, which we’ll be celebrating tomorrow. There’s quite a lot to prepare, snacks, food, and all the little details to make the day special. So I’ll probably be running around in the kitchen and making sure everything is set for the celebration. It’s going to be a busy day, today and tomorrow, but also a joyful one! 🎉 Catch you soon! 🎉🤩
