6. “Gandhi, I’m trying to practice non-violence, but my neighbor's dog has been barking since 6 a.m.!”.
Gandhi, listen… I’m trying to practice non-violence, but the neighbor’s dog has been barking since 6 a.m.! Today the concert started at exactly 6:00. Not a normal bark, mind you, a rhythmic *woof-woof-woof*.
As a good aspiring pacifist, I’ve tried everything:
- I put in headphones (failed)
- I meditated on “Om” (failed)
- I even smiled out the window and flashed the peace sign… and he barked even harder, as if to say, “Peace to you, but I’m keeping right on going.”
My patience is being sorely tested. ..
What would you tell me to do, Mahatma?
My choice for peace is ... maybe a muzzle for the dog ? 🫢 a warm herbal tea? 😁 maybe a biscuit of non-violence for the dog? 😋
Joking aside, Mahatma Gandhi was a truly great man. 🤍
