The following observances are times for reflection, prayer and honoring spiritual connections in the Christian faith.
1. All Saints’ Day. - honors all saints, known or unknown, celebrating their holiness and devotions
2. All Souls’ Day. - is dedicated to remembering and praying for the souls of the departed, especially loved ones
3. Patronal Festival - celebrates a church’s patron Saint, the specific saint it’s dedicated to with services and community events focused on that saint’s legacy.
Tomorrow 2/11 we will be gathering at the church to have fellowship as a community
Sunday 3/11 we will be celebrating our Patronal Festival and observe All Souls Day

Yes, All Saints’ Day, is indeed a significant day in Portugal. It’s a time when families come together to honor and remember their deceased loved ones. Many people visit cemeteries to clean and decorate the graves with fresh flowers, especially chrysanthemums, and light decorative candles. It’s a day filled with both solemn remembrance and community spirit. 🙏🏻✝️
