Bought a "too good to be true" CPU deal and now I'm second guessing everything
I was scrolling through my local marketplace a few days ago and found a Ryzen 7 7800X3D listed for way less than anything else around me. Not stolen-level cheap, but cheap enough that I immediately thought "yeah this is probably a scam." The seller had decent ratings, let me test it in person, showed CPU-Z, temps looked normal, benchmark numbers seemed fine. I ended up buying it anyway. Got home, dropped it into my build and... it works perfectly. No crashes, no weird temps, passes stress tests, games run exactly how they should. The problem is that now I can't stop looking for problems. Every little stutter makes me think the CPU is fake somehow. Every random Windows hiccup sends me down another rabbit hole. Part of me feels like I got the deal of the year, the other part feels like I'm about to discover some horrible catch six months from now. Has anyone else bought hardware that felt way too cheap and then spent more time worrying about it than actually enjoying it? lol #hardware #technology source
