Filling a water bladder while it is still inside a backpack, Platyapus Big Zip with disconnect, and the Sawyer adapter.
I am wondering if anyone here has used a "Platypus Big Zip Water Reservoir h https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07M68J5GK/ with the disconnect valve with the "Sawyer Products SP115 Fast Fill Adapters for Hydration Packs h https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EURFBKI/ adapter successfully.
Until a few hours ago I did not know that backpackers have been putting water bladders inside their packs instead of outside. I want to use a Sawyer Squeeze with the "standard" water bottle threads to fill the Platypus while it is still in the pack.
It appears that the disconnect valve on the platypus is near the top of the water bag, so one need not open one's backpack much to attach the Sawyer Squeeze adapter, then the sawyer squeeze, then a bag with water that needs filtered.
I could not find any video showing these adapters functioning. One would think this set-up would be so popular that people would have made videos about using both products together.
If anyone has done this, how well did it work?
I bought both, so I guess I'll make a YouTube video about this.
